Mainak K. Ghosh was born on 11.05.1961 in an ancient family of Calcutta. His father late Milan K. Ghosh was an eminent Advocate of High Court at Calcutta and other Indian Courts.

He is a Bachelor of Commerce and did his Post Graduation in Law from the University of Calcutta and also did Company Secretaryship (Int.) from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

Mainak has about 25 years of experience in legal services having wide exposure in various fields of law. His clients include Banking and Insurance Companies, individuals and Corporates in Public and Private Sectors.

Mainak is the Senior Partner of M. K. Ghosh & Co., a pioneer Legal Service Firm in India providing services for last five decades in various fields of law which has opened up offshoot in the fields of Legal Process Outsourcing services from India providing legal expertise in the global business arena.

Mainak's deliberation on "Why India is a preferred destination for Legal Process Outsourcing services - " at a seminar organised by Government of West Bengal at Kalyani University, India on 14th November 2008, received wide acclamation. He was also invited by the American Conference Institute at its 2008 Inaugural Summit on Legal Process Outsourcing at New York and his review on the said event was highly acknowledged by the Institute.

Mainak joined Rotary movement in 1993 and became a Member of Rotary Club of Calcutta Mid South, RI District 3290. He served the Club in various positions and became the President in 2000-2001. Subsequently he served as Chairman (Youth Services) of RI District 3290. Rtn. Mainak is a Paul Harris Fellow and an member of the Rotary Vocational Law Fellowship at International Level.

Mainak is married to Anita who has done her Masters in Anthropology from the University of Lucknow. They are blessed with one son, Mohan, who is practicing Law and specializing in Corporate Legal & Regulatory Compliance Services.
